Refund & Return Policy

This Refund & Return Policy applies to all purchases made through ButaHome.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.


1. Return Eligibility

We accept return requests only under the following strict conditions:

  • The item is defective or damaged upon arrival
  • The item is significantly different from its description
  • The return request is submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused
  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • Proof of purchase is required

2. Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Items damaged due to customer misuse or improper handling
  • Items without original packaging
  • Items marked as final sale (if applicable)
  • Products returned without prior approval

3. Return Request Process

To initiate a return, contact us at:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos or video evidence

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.


4. Refund Approval Process

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund request
  • If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method (Stripe)
  • Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days

Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.


5. Order Cancellation

Orders can only be cancelled within 12 hours of purchase.

After this time, orders are likely already being processed or shipped and cannot be cancelled.


6. Damaged, Wrong, or Missing Items

If you receive a damaged, incorrect, or missing item, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

We may require:

  • Photo evidence of the product
  • Photo of packaging
  • Order details

Depending on the case, we may offer a replacement or refund.


7. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong or defective item), we will cover return costs.
  • If the return is due to customer preference, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund:

  1. Check your bank account again
  2. Contact your credit card provider
  3. Contact your bank for processing delays

9. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage customers to contact us before filing a chargeback.

Unauthorized chargebacks may delay resolution and will be reviewed with supporting evidence including order history and tracking information.


10. Legal Compliance

This policy is designed to comply with international eCommerce standards and payment processor requirements, including Stripe and Google Merchant Center policies.
